Inspired by coral, Urban Reef uses the concept of "merge" to result in a co-working tower that joins various programs together, creating a new working environment. At its base, the project consists of four individual branches that wave their way up and occasionally flow together. At these points, voided spaces emerge, producing a myriad of different floor plans and sectional variations.
Concept
Various street amenities are dispersed throughout four individual "branches" at the project's base. Each has its own core with the largest acting as the main core of the entire tower. As the branches wave their way up, they intersect and lock the project together, introducing new programs into the mix.

By voiding the areas where different branches merge, both planar and sectional scenarios of organic curvature are created, mimicking the coral in which the project is inspired by.

Aluminum skin functions as a shading system as well as UV protection for the interior of the tower.
